Power Solutions

System design in the case of this prime power example involves high redundancy, by a few differing means ranging through:

- Detailed component selection based upon past operational experience - Control system diminishing architecture allowing for alternate means of maintaining power in the event of a component failure- Consideration of  spare capacity availability when operating at 'trough' power levels following analysis of load cycle - Prime mover MTBF analysis and not least - ‘heavy load sequencing’ following a automatic capacity permissions routine

- Often overlooked but a significant reality; generators have limited fault current. In this case an ‘out of the box’ approach overcame high current ‘inrush considerations.

- Also involved:  Integration of solar and wind power with what if scenario’s debated and rationalized.
